United By Blue continuing Delaware River cleanup efforts with April cleanup

Over the last few years, Philadelphia-based clothing and coffee retailer United By Blue has contributed to the removal of over 19,000 lbs of waste from the Delaware River through a series of cleanups.

These cleanup events are hosted at various locations, including a few different points of the Delaware River. A cleanup event is being hosted in April starting at Pier 68, the new pier park that opened in the fall just off of the South Philly Walmart parking lot.

This cleanup event will start down south at Pier 68 and move from this developed pier, to some other, more abandoned spaces. The cleanup will go farther north to Washington Avenue, which is the location of Pier 53.

In addition to the cleanup work at the event, you’ll have the chance to have some fun and win prizes throughout the cleanup event. This includes merchandise from United By Blue.

The event is happening on Tuesday, April 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All supplies will be provided. If you’re planning on attending, wear closed toe shoes. You can find more information on the event and sign up to volunteer here.

If you’re going to this event, rescue the cats and take them to a shelter. They are out of control over there.
