Warrior Boxing Gym is moving to a larger location in the Bok School

The new businesses keep on rolling in at the Bok School. We’ve previously told you about everything from a preschool to a hair salon joining in on Lindsey Scannapieco’s renewal of this shuttered school, now the space is getting an even more diverse selection of businesses.

Warrior Boxing Gym has announced that they will move into this new location at the school at 1901 S. 9th St., just down the street from their current, and soon-to-be former, location at 1209 Mifflin St.

This new space is much bigger than their current location. Warrior made the move because the number of members of the gym is continuing to grow, making their Mifflin Street spot too small for their needs. You’ll see bigger lockers rooms, boxing rings and more in this space at Bok.

Here’s the owner giving a little video tour of the space:

The opening date is set for Sunday, May 1. Warrior Boxing Gym will then hold a grand opening on Wednesday, May 18. You can find out more on Warrior’s Facebook page.

Isn’t this the gym that used to post unsanctioned “fight night” videos on their Facebook page? Generally, they include one amateur boxing student being violently knocked into another dimension bu the gyms owner and Pro Boxer Jose Gurrero pictured above.

Okay, I am a fighter that trains here and no one gets “knocked into another dimension”. They are 1 minute rounds and no one gets hurt, and if you do get hurt the fight is stopped almost instantly. I have had one fight here and I did not get hurt or injured or knocked out. Before you comment about the place why don’t you go and check it out and see, and it is boxing not ballet, you go to train and eventually fight so sometimes there is a knock out but no one gets hurt to the point where they need medical attention. It is a good place, Jose Guerrero is a good man and I do not like that you said that.
