It’s a bit old fashioned but, wow, that kitchen is huge. Since everything looks to be in good condition a buyer could move in and make upgrades in the future.

Why is there a manhole in the yard??

Otherwise, looks nice, but the location sucks.

Why does the location suck? Whats wrong with Girard Estate? Not everyone wants to live on a tiny street or a socalled newly gentrified street. Also, doesn’t take long to get in your car and drive someplace. 10 min drive to Center or 5 min drive to Passyunk Ave

Great location and the house is perfect “a bit old fashioned”. God forbid someone doesn’t want to live in overpriced EAPA in the clone rowhouse with the granite and the stainless steel and the…

Because, just as you pointed out, you need to get in your car to go anywhere.

If I want that lifestyle I’m sure not spending $275K to live in a twin, I can get a single home with a decent amount of property in the burbs.

Wrong. 4 blocks to the BSL on Oregon so absolutely no reason to ever own a car. The “lifestyle” of that neighborhood is wonderful–nice neighbors, Girard park, shopping and Taproom on 19th and McCluskers very close by. Take a walk down there sometime from your side of Broad. It’s a big city with lots of lovely neighborhoods.

Agreed on most things other than the “no reason to own a car” part… What if you want to go to the mall or the shore points? What about when it snows and you can’t ride your bike? Vehicles are still important.

Anyway.. This is one of the most charming neighborhoods in the city hands down.

Saying the location sucks is comical.

3.5 blocks to subway, 10 min walk to EPX, grocery store 2 blocks away….and a tree-lined street with historic twin houses.

I’d take that over just about anywhere in/around EPX, with the exception of 13th st but what do I know.

I agree with you saying that the location sucks is comical. It’s a very nice historic area. What is comical are the millennials paying $500K to live at 5th and Mifflin.

Why does everyone in South Philly (particularly the lifers) have an inferiority complex? Holy crap you are some of the most prickly people I’ve ever been around in my entire life.
