Check out a beer garden at FDR Park this week

You recently had your chance to grab some drinks at Jefferson Square in Pennsport. Now there’s a new beer garden popping up in South Philly.

From September 1 through September 5, you can swing by the FDR Park at Broad and Pattison to enjoy drinks, food and entertainment thanks to the Parks on Tap program created by Parks and Recreation and the Fairmount Park Conservancy.

In addition to coming to the pop-up for some beer, there are entertainment options over the span of the five days at FDR Park. There’s a happy hour event where 50% of the profits go to Friends of FDR Park, a Saturday morning yoga class and more live entertainment. The main event over the weekend is the FDR Park Music Jam, a free festival with a lineup of 13 musicians. The event is hosted in partnership with the Philadelphia Songwriters Project. You can check out the full list of events happening during Parks on Tap.
