On Point opens today for brunch, here’s a look at the menu
Last week we shared with you First Pics of On Point bistro at 1200 Point Breeze Ave. At the time, the opening date was still pending due to some last-minute inspections and finishing touches owners Mallory and Juan Lopez were making on the former Breezy’s location.
On Point bistro is now ready to make its debut in Point Breeze. Starting today, Tuesday, September 13, the restaurant will be opening up to the public for brunch.
For this first week, On Point will only be serving brunch. You can stop in between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to enjoy breakfast and lunch options like the fresh corn pancakes and the falafel burger.
Here’s a look at the menu:
Dinner service will begin on Tuesday, September 20, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Brunch will be offered Tuesday through Sunday, while dinner will only be offered from Tuesday through Saturday.
Way too expensive, and trying to be way too fancy. Did they not learn from Buckminsters?
How are omelets and bacon egg and cheese fancy?
Besides the cheese board, what would you say is fancy?
1. As Alex said, everything is way too expensive.
2. Menu looks like it was designed someone who overheard a conversation about fancy brunch one time. There’s big fancy fashion food words in there, but the food still comes off as boring and uninspired.
3. No legitimate vegan options.
They should have just opened another vape shop.
Great portions for the price! Definitely different than Buckminsters and much better. Plus its a BYO
I asked for vegan options and they were able to accommodate dishes from the menu…making them vegan. It is a great addition to the neighborhood and hoping this can become staple in the Point Breeze neighborhood
That’s good to hear on the portions, and I’m glad that it is getting good reviews right off the bat. I’m ever the skeptic, and seeing truffle aioli in an omelette, non-traditional cheeses on sandwiches, etc, I get worried that these places are missing out on the market for a great, simple breakfast joint.
I was a little skeptical myself. But the food, service and ambiance is great. Definitely nothing like it in the neighborhood and they plan on serving dinner soon. Can’t wait for that
Breezy’s is that you? A vape shop is better because you don’t like the prices/menu?
I guess inhaling chemical smoke is preferable over looking through a window at people eating food you think is too expensive.
If you were familiar with my commenting track record on this community website, you’d know that I’m fiercely opposed to the opening of new vape shops.
A vape shop??? You must be Breezy’s, haven’t been there or just not care about the neighborhood. Is there another classy BYO restaurant in the area? This is exactly what the neighborhood needs
No association with Breezy’s. That place was also a dump, but of a different type.
If I “cared about the neighborhood,” I probably wouldn’t be serving charcuterie in Point Breeze, but what do I know?
Food, ambiance and service were great. Must try Falafel Burger.

If you seriously think these prices are high, there’s an I-HOP at Snyder Plaza. They got a booth with your name on it.
Place is great, clean and bustling. Had the corn pancakes which were filling and delicious. Wifey had the farm omelette with fresh veggies crispy home fries and toast also very tasty. The prices are on par with Sidecar’s and very fair imo. We wish the On Point team lots of luck, the only drawback was the acoustics, but things like that can be remedied if the place succeeds. Agree with Lou_100x, you get what you pay for and there are plenty of places in South Philly to get inexpensive crappy food …
