First Pics: South Fellini now selling Philly-style t-shirts, pins and more on East Passyunk Avenue

East Passyunk Avenue has a new colorful shop addition, something that may even outshine the orange storefront of Cantina. Tony Trov and Johnny Zito have transformed the purple Pookah’s Hookah/Eclectic Expressionisms storefront at 1507 E. Passyunk Ave. into a different mix of colors with blue, yellow and mosaic details for their retail shop, South Fellini.

Trov and Zito take your favorite Philly things, ranging from the King of Jeans sign to the philly-ism “Jawn,” and transform these landmarks and sayings into t-shirts, prints, pins and patches.

The combination studio and shop opened its doors to the public on Saturday, October 1, kicking off the new business with a grand opening celebration, even including a ribbon cutting by an Instagram-famous South Philly pug named Oliver.

South Fellini was previously an online-only operation, besides a few pop-up events here and there. This new location gives the shop more studio space and the ability to sell to even more residents looking to add some Philly flair into their life. The shop plans to participate in any events on the Avenue, including the monthly Second Saturdays.

Whichever one of these gentlemen sold me a Divine Lorraine pin at the Fountain a few months ago, he was a very nice guy and I can’t wait to check out the store. Best of luck to you!
