The Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District has announced Pam Zenzola, who was previously president of the Passyunk Square Civic Association, as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Zenzola will be taking over for Renee Gilinger at the non-profit organization that has been working to improve the commercial corridor since 2002. The organization is responsible for many of the avenue’s improvement projects, events, business recruitment and other services to keep the area clean and accessible.

This position is the next step for Zenzola, who has been helping to improve her South Philadelphia neighborhood since moving here in 2008. Previously she has worked as an event planner for Wharton Executive Education, along with aiding in community improvement projects outside of the city, including the formation of an organization called CHATS and the first Town Watch in Horsham, PA.

    Congratulations, Pam.

Your myriad experiences coupled with your generous and genuine care for your neighbors and neighborhood makes this a huge win for the businesses and residents along the Avenue.

Watch out for other Philly neighborhoods that are going to try and steal you away!

CONGRATULATIONS! That smile alone will get you to higher places. It works on a lot of people who just need to know you care and that shows it. No matter what your responsibilities, I know you will carry them out to the best and then some of your abilities and experience. Most important is that you enjoy what you do!
    Love,
    Anna and Tony

Good luck with the new responsibilities as it’s your nature to make things better for everyone in the neighborhood.
