Royal Sushi & Izakaya opened in September after years of anticipation for the restaurant’s opening.
On Thursday, December 22, Jesse Ito will be opening a sushi bar in the back room of the restaurant, elevating Royal Sushi & Izakaya’s offerings even further.

Past the bar and behind a curtain is a spare, wooden sushi bar – similar in spirit to NYC’s Sushi Yasuda – that seats 10. For the initial run, Ito is limiting his show to seven people at a time. It runs 6 p.m. to midnight Tuesday to Saturday, and he allots just under two hours for dining.
It’s all about the fish. Menu includes 35 fish/shellfish/roe options (most from Japan) including bluefin tuna, live scallop, geoduck, iwashi (Japanese sardine), Hokkaido uni, and smoked sturgeon. Don’t go seeking sushi rolls.
