Zillow predicts Point Breeze and ‘Greenwich’ to be Philly’s new hottest neighborhoods

Is Point Breeze going to be Philly’s new hottest neighborhood? Zillow says yes.

Point Breeze pic (anyone know the street?) from ilovebricks.

With increased development, some new restaurants popping up and more progress, Zillow is predicting that the area could be a new destination neighborhood. Also on the list is “Greenwich,” which is Zillow’s name for the area between 9th and 4th Streets and Mifflin and Snyder.

Part of Greenwich is technically in East Passyunk Crossing and the other portion spans back to towards Dickinson Square West or Pennsport.

This new prediction of hottest neighborhoods shows as much of a 12% increase in housing costs in number one ranked Point Breeze, along with another 8.5% increase prediction for Greenwich, which ranked third on the list.

Is there a link to the Zillow list? I’d like to see all of the SP neighborhood projections.

“Greenwich” isn’t a neighborhood. Were getting far too picky with this stuff. we have to stop naming micro-neighborhoods, there are too many neighborhoods names as it is! I types “Greenwich Philadelphia” in Google Maps and nothing came up. Its a 3 X 5 block section, that is too small for a neighbothood name! Dont ever mention “Greenwich” again. Thanks

Greenwich was an island located in South Philly along with other islands such as League Island etc.. The creeks that surrounded them were covered over or diverted over the years

Yeah. You know. That neighborhood “Greenwich” that is nowhere near Greenwich st. Or anything associated with the name.
This town needs more areas that are watered down New York neighborhood names.

I’ve been rolling my eyes ever since someone tried to coin “Midtown Village” for the Gayborhood. Then again, I live in Lower Moyamensing and often catch myself typing “LoMo.” :/
