Jeri’s Curio to close on East Passyunk Avenue

Right next door to the still-vacant former Avenue Cheese Shop location will soon be another empty storefront.

On February 1, Jeri’s Curio, the board game-loving, local artist-promoting shop, will be closing just under two years after opening at 1726 E. Passyunk Ave.

A sign in the window of the shop simply states, “Thanks for the memories… Closing February 1. Love, Jeri.”

Swing by Jeri’s Curio in the next few weeks to snag some of the shop’s curated selection of “rare, unusual, or intriguing” gifts. You can also pick up some free records at the store.

Prior to Jeri’s Curio, another specialty gift shop, the Knack, called the location home for less than a year. Even before that, Era Atomica occupied the storefront.

I’m also disappointed. Any discounts or sales prior to closing?

Selective items will be reduced and most if the furniture used for displays will be sold. I’ll be announcing the information on Facebook, Indtagram, etc. Plan on having a big party to say goodbye the last weekend of January. I’ll miss the neighborhood.
