Vybe Urgent Care facility has opened in the former Torre location on Broad Street

After 30 years in business, the men’s clothing store Torre Big and Tall closedat 1217 S. Broad St. in 2014, leaving a large vacancy in a prime Broad Street location. That building is now home to a new urgent care facility.

IMG_3309Vybe Urgent Care opened on Monday, January 30, bringing its fourth healthcare center to the Philadelphia-area.

This community-based urgent care facility treats illnesses and injuries of all kinds. On-site they have access to x-rays, vaccinations, lab tests and physical exams as a one-stop-shop to avoid a visit to the emergency room.

Vybe’s other locations include the newly-opened Center City location on Chestnut Street, along with locations in Roxborough and Port Richmond.

The location in South Philadelphia will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. You can read more about Vybe’s services, payment options and more here.

My issue with urgent care is I tend to hurt myself between the hours of 9PM – 1AM and they are never open.

Good point. If you play a sport after work or work physically at night, it is not helpful…

Hopefully not. Posted on the Facebook page earlier today: “Sorry. We’re on a bit of a hiatus but working on the next steps. Please stay tuned and thanks so much for your patience.”

This sucks. We miss you Passyunk Post!

Anyone know what is going on at the corner of Dickinson and Cross? Some drywall and green paint went up inside of the place that Greenstreet Coffee briefly occupied.

Yeah, terrible news, it’s going to be a dry cleaners according to permits. Just total garbage.

Thanks nemesis. It didn’t look promising, but I was hoping maybe some sort of office rather than a dry cleaner.

I’m not sure if this is true, but that property and the one across the street (former Miss Lilie’s) seems to be trouble with the owner/landlord. These locations should fill in more quickly.

They are two different owners. Not sure about 1134 Dickinson but the owner for 1501 S 12th(Miss Lilias) I’ve definitely heard rumblings about in the past. Though that property looks like just went off the market in January. Rent a bit high at $1800
