The Newbold Blues Festival is a music, BBQ, and craft beer street party that celebrates the Newbold neighborhood.

Happening on the 1900 block of South Bancroft Street (next to Second District Brewery), the festival will take place on Saturday, June 17th, from 12 to 5pm.

Participating breweries, and one distillery, include: Brewery ARS, Manatawny Still Works, Nodding Head Brewery, Point Breeze Brewing and Second District Brewing. Additionally, attendees can expect several Newbold restaurants, live blues/rock/funk/soul bands, several local arts vendors and a kid’s woodworking activities provided by OFC Philly.

“This is a much smaller undertaking than our other big event, the South Philly Sausage Fest, but it’s all for the same purpose – to help beautify our neighborhood” according to Tim Lidiak, President of the Newbold CDC.

Funds raised from this event will be used to support Newbold CDC’s Neighborhood Greening Program.

An after-party is planned at Brewery ARS from 6:30 – 10pm.
