New Bar coming to West Passyunk Avenue

Just months after the opening of Second District Brewing, Newbold residents are about to get another place to gather.

New Bar coming to West Passyunk Avenue

The building at 16th and West Passyunk Avenue has stood vacant since its previous tenant, a day care center, left in 2016. However, a couple of weeks ago the Space & Company sign came down and paper over the windows went up.

Now – a public notice application of alcohol beverages sits in the window.

Additional details are known, but at the request of the proprietor (no, it’s not John Longacre), will be kept on the down-low for now. But hey – new drinking spot for the Newbold folks!

Has there been any developments on any development on Longacre property on Bouvier and Snyder, the old Venice Plaza?

I’m neighbor to that property. The guy is using it as storage.

Looks like per BillyPenn that this is going to be the Thirsty Soul, food & drinks while specializing in cocktails.

Hmm. Maybe it won’t be a dumpy hipster hangout like that newish Longacre microbrew.
