4th Annual South Philly SausageFest

It’s back! The 4th annual South Philly Sausage Fest returns to West Passyunk Avenue & Broad Street on Saturday, September 29. This family-and-dog-friendly event runs from Noon to 7:00 p.m.

The event promises live music, local arts & crafts vendors, kid’s activities, craft beer from a dozen South Philly breweries.

West Passyunk-area restaurants that’ll be servin’ the sausage  include Taproom on 19th, Mike’s BBQ, South Philly Tap Room, Café y Chocolate, and newly-opened The Thirsty Soul. Options include Italian, kielbasa, chorizo, vegan sausages, and much more.

Discounted drink tickets are available, but they’re going quickly! Get ’em while they last here.

Grill master Tim Lidiak.

Now…live music, beer, and sausage are great. But here’s the best part: the proceeds from South Philly SausageFest support the Newbold Community Development Corporation (CDC)’s Street Cleaning Program. This program employees ten disabled Philadelphia residents who clean the commercial corridors along Snyder and West Passyunk Avenues. Newbold CDC is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which promotes the revitalization of the Newbold community.
