In a seemingly unsuspecting and tranquil area at the beginning (or end, depending where you start) of Schuylkill Banks Trail, the cute little woodland creatures (and the P’yunk Post, of course) have begun to take notice of some noisier and more fast-paced activities.
The Grays Ferry Crescent, which is on the east side of the Schuylkill between 34th Street and Gray’s Ferry Avenue, is no longer only the home of a verdant bike trail.
Once a regular white South Philly food truck covered in general wear and tear (and occasionally some vandalism), the Taco Loco now exudes excellence on the outside, reflecting its amazing food that may once have been overlooked by much of the street traffic.
Old Swede’s Church is hosting another one of their fantastic flea markets this Saturday, May 18. Past years have seen the grounds of the church, at Christian Street and Delaware Ave., filled with more than 100 vendors selling jewelry or art, old books, candlesticks, trinkets, etc.

The flea market, which runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., also will feature several food trucks plus live music.
