Escape The 1980s is an interactive game where 2-12 players figure out clues and codes to unlock doors and get through an 80s themed adventure. Artists, programmers and engineers built it to take participants through a retro mini-mall where they utilize old-school technology, interactive codes, and clues to escape the era of AquaNet.

In celebration of the occasion, we’ll be hosting a costume contest and look forward to seeing participants and supporters in their best Halloween running gear.”

“The great thing is, the race will be done by mid-morning, so there’s plenty of time for families to prepare for evening Halloween festivities,” Buffalino said. “Plus runners will already have burned candy calories for the day.”

red speedoTheatre Exile opens its 18th season on Oct. 30 with previews of the Philadelphia premiere of “Red Speedo,” written by Lucas Hnath, who the New York Times said “is quickly emerging as one of the brightest new voices of his generation.”

Directed by Deborah Block, this production of “Red Speedo” features actors Keith Conallen, Leonard C. Haas, Jaylene Clark Owens and Brian Ratcliffe. This spare, pool-side drama tells the story of a discovery of a cooler full of performance-enhancing drugs, which sends Olympic hopeful Ray and those who circle around him into murky waters. This taut darkly comic, new play explores the battle between building a family and the business of winning at any cost.

The show will be performed at Theatre Exile’s Studio X at 13th and Reed. You can find more information and buy tickets on their website here. Just a heads up, some shows are already sold out.
