    The Singing Fountain

    Philadelphia, PA – East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) presents a day of spooktacular fun with Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. This annual Halloween celebration will feature free activities for children, adults and even fido too!  Spooky Saturday activities include cider and donuts, pumpkin painting, costume contests for children and dogs, pet treats, art lessons and a kids’ dance party. Trick or treating will expand this year to include the blocks between the Singing Fountain and the Mifflin Triangle. Free treat bags will be available at the Singing Fountain for the first 500 children courtesy of Aversa PR & Events. Fall Fest activities will include a craft show curated by Nice Things..Handmade, three live bands, pumpkins and fall foliage at Urban Jungle, a raffle from Philadelphia Scooters, and adoptables from Operation Ava, PAWS and Pig Placement Network.  Food and drink will be provided by Ms. Goody Cupcake, The Tot Cart, Stateside, El Zarape, Mamma Maria Ristorante, Stogie Joe’s, Noord, Fond and Belle Cakery. In the event of rain, select family activities will move in front of Urban Jungle, and the concert and craft show will be cancelled.  Most activities will be held at the Singing Fountain (EPA and Tasker), with select activities to be held at Mifflin Triangle (EPA and Mifflin).     * Ms Goody Cupcake – Halloween cupcakes including Pumpkin Latte
    * Noord – Snack bar with bitterballen, chicken croquettes and more
    * Stateside – Outdoor grill, seasonal cocktails and beer
    * Stogie Joe’s – BBQ pulled pork sliders and seasonal craft beer
    * The Tot Cart – Tater tots

    Family fun (11:00am to 4:00pm)
    * Craft Show with 40 local artists by nice things…handmade
    * Pig Placement Network, Operation Ava and PAWS adoptables and information tables
    * Pumpkins and fall foliage at Urban Jungle
    * Raffle for a scooter from Philadelphia Scooters

    Kids only (11:00am to 1:00pm)
    * Kids’ costume contest for Scariest, Funniest + Most Original, staggered by age groups (11am – ages 4 & under,11:30am – ages 5 to 8, Noon – ages 9 to 12)
    * Art projects by the Young Rembrandts
    * Dance party to Halloween favorite tunes
    * Free trick or treat bags from Aversa PR & Events for the first 500 kids
    * Pumpkin painting (first come, first served)
    * Trick or treating at the craft show

    Fido too (12:30pm)
    * Dog costume contest for Scariest, Funniest + Most Original with prizes from Doggie Style
    * Costumed guest judges including Noord chef/owner Joncarl Lachman, others to be announced
    * Fido treat and water station

    Live music
    * Passyunk Pickers (1:00pm)
    * We Are Fauna (2:00pm)
    * Rocktapuss (3:00pm)


    * Alphabet Aquarium (1720 EPA) – Temporary tattoos (11:00am to 1:00pm)
    * Trick or treating at various businesses, including: A Star is Born, Aversa PR & Events, Chhaya Café, Headhunters Hair Design, Ms Goody Cupcake, Noir Restaurant, Occassionette, Sermania, Stogie Joe’s (1:00pm to 4:00pm or as supplies last, other businesses to be announced)


    * Dance party with musical favorites and games (1:30pm to 3:30pm)
    * Free cider and donuts (starting at 1:30pm while supplies last)
    * Spooky chalk drawing (1:30pm to 3:30pm)

    Food and drinks from mobile vendors and restaurants are pay-as-you-go. Other activities, tricks or treats, and cider and donuts are free unless otherwise noted. In the event of rain, Fall Festival music and craft show will be cancelled. Spooky Saturday’s costume contest and trick or treating will move in front of Urban Jungle (1526 EPA).

    Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday is presented by East Passyunk Business Improvement District, with support form GPTMC Visit Philadelphia campaign, Yelp, Aversa PR & Events, Acme, PARC, South Philly Review, Uber, Doggie Style and Nice Things.. Handmade.
