On Wednesday, 9/6 join us in welcoming Black Hog Brewing Company to Philadelphia. Founded in 2014 in Oxford, CT by brewer Tyler Jones & brothers Jason & Tom Sobocinski, Black Hog brings a decidedly culinary approach to the brewing process, collaborating with local chefs and farmers while following the seasonal rhythms of New England (the brothers also own Caseus Fromagerie in New Haven as well as Ordinary- a cocktail bar).
We’ll be pouring 5 different Black Hog Beers on Wednesday: a barrel aged biere de garde, Piglet Double IPA, SWAG wit (notes of citrus & sage), a keg of hog water IPA that owner Tom is bringing down especially for this event, and what we’re probably most excited about: Disco Pigs 3.1- a collaboration with Oxbow (‘Disco’ because it’s funky, get it?). We’ll also be sipping on cans of Black Hog Strawberry Gose, enjoying the waning days of summer.
This will be the first time most of these beers are pouring in Philadelphia, we hope you’ll be as excited to try them as we are. See you Wednesday!
