American Sardine Bar
Join us on Wednesday, June 7th as we welcome Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal to American Sardine Bar! Since 2010 Brewer Brian Strumke has been bringing his modern translations of classic beer styles to life in breweries around the world. On Wednesday we’ll be pouring 5 different Stillwater beers ranging from old classics to new collaborations (as well as select cans).
You’ll be able to get a glimpse into the Stillwater vision with beers like Cellar Door (farmhouse ale brewed with wheat & white sage), Extra Dry (sake-style saison), Shoegaze (farmhouse pale ale), and two of Brian’s collaborations with the U.K.’s Buxton Brewery: Subluminal (imperial stout) & Superluminal (sour IPA).
By taking the idea of what a modern brewery can be out of the box (literally- Brian brews all his beer using excess capacity at existing breweries) Stillwater encourages to see beyond the boundaries of existing brewery models. Along with amazing design by Michael Van Hall- cracking a Stillwater beer can be a sublime experience.
