Cultivate a deeper understanding of the actor’s instrument, and unlock the power of language through voice, body and breath. This introductory course will focus on unlocking habitual tension, breathing effectively, listening, and being present – physically, mentally and vocally.

Liz Filios is a Philadelphia-based actor, musician and teaching artist. She has had the opportunity to study voice in Vancouver, Canada; Florence, Italy; and Cape Town, South Africa. She has performed with the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Lantern Theater, Arden Theatre, Wilma Theater, Walnut StreetTheatre, Inis Nua, The Bearded Ladies Cabaret, People’s Light, and Theatre Horizon. She teaches acting, voice and music for the Arden Theatre, Lantern Theater, DelawareTheatre Company, Theatre Exile and the University of the Arts. Liz is an Independence Foundation Fellow, and the recipient of the 2014 F. Otto Haas Award for EmergingTheatre Artist.
