What is realistic physical response in close audience proximity? How do I breathe life into the character with my own body? These are questions often asked by actors in all stages of their career. In this workshop, the actor will gain insight into the dramaturgy of their own body and instrument. Blackbox theater and Exile-specific work lives in close proximity to the audience and through this workshop, led by Peter Andrew Danzig, actor and Founder of Theatrical Trainer, the actor will explore physical theater practice, character creation and impulse based physical work on-stage. Through understanding the natural condition of the body and the dramaturgical exploration of methods of physical intent, actors will experience new and innovative ways to create nuanced, natural and complex character studies. Students will interact with ways in which to ‘walk the physical line’ that is the multitude of choices when creating their characters on stage. Engage with the unpredictable to discover your best approach to physical theatrepractice.
    Workshop Fee: $100
