Fumo Family Library closed through the beginning of July for AC repairs

Now that summer is officially here, so are some of the hottest days. Fumo Family Library is preparing for the heat with some upgrades that will cause the library to close for a brief period of time this summer.

In the past the library at 2437 S. Broad St. has needed to close due to “excessive heat.” That problem is now being dealt with, with a new air conditioning system being installed for the building.

If you follow the Fumo Family Library on Facebook, you’ve probably seen a number of updates about the library being closed periodically throughout this last month. To make these much-needed repairs to the air conditioning system, the library is expected to remain closed through July 5.

While this may slightly derail your summer reading list, at least in a couple of weeks you’ll be able to check out books without dripping of sweat. Good news: you can always visit the brand new library that just opened at Broad and Morris.

Perhaps they could change the name? Other Peoples Money Branch of Free Library?
