Old Buckminster’s signage defaced with expletive

Buckminster’s closed in early-June, having served food and drink at the neo-bistro for less than a year. A short time later, Ori Feibush announced plans to reimagine the space at 21st and Federal with a “simple but new concept” for a restaurant.

Work may be underway on the spot, but that hasn’t stopped someone from messing with the signage from the now-closed Buckminster’s. The “B” has been altered to turn the sign into an expletive that we’re sure you can guess (and you can see below).

Ori Feibush planning ‘simple but new concept’ restaurant in former Buckminster’s space

Buckminster’s, the neo-bistro from Michael Pasquarello, closed in June after less than a year at 21st and Federal.

Now Ori Feibush, the developer who always has big plans for his Point Breeze neighborhood, will be opening a “simple but new concept” restaurant in this location with his fiancee Elise Lemay.

Buckminster’s has closed in Point Breeze

In 2015 the corner of 21st and Federal saw some updates when renovations began on the former Burg’s Lounge location. Then in November a new restaurant from the owners of Kensington Quarters and Cafe Lift opened its doors here.

After just seven months in Point Breeze, Buckminster’s has now called it quits.

Two bells for Buckminster’s, Point Breeze’s new ‘neo-bistro’

The corner of 21st and Federal was transformed from a dilapidated building that once housed Burg’s Lounge, to a new-and-improved corner restaurant and bar which opened in November.

Now Craig Laban has weighed in on this “neo-bistro” from the owner Michael Pasquarello and chef Rob Marzinsky, giving Buckminster’s two bells for it’s “intriguing” concept, also saying that “Point Breeze’s emergence is for real.”
