Funeral home manager to be 2nd South Philly-linked member of ‘Mob Wives’

The fourth season of the VH1 hit “Mob Wives” will include another South Philly cast member, says the New York Daily News.

Natalie Guercio runs her family’s Carto Funeral Home on Broad Street near Jackson. She joins Alicia DiMichele-Garofalo, the owner of Addiction Boutique, which opened in June next to the dollar store at 12th and Passyunk.

Passyunk boutique owner – being sentenced Thursday for helping mob hubby steal – is filming for ‘Mob Wives’

Alicia DiMichele, the owner of the new Addiction Boutique at 1713 S. 12th St., was spotted in Las Vegas filming for the VH1 show “Mob Wives,” and the New York Post says that has irked some Brooklyn prosecutors.

DiMichele pleaded guilty to embezzlement conspiracy for  helping her husband steal tens of thousands of dollars from a Teamsters pension fund. She’s being sentenced Thursday and faces up to a $250,000 fine and four to 10 months in jail, the Post says.

Prosecutors, however, say that DiMichele neglected to mention she’d be getting a chunk of change for a reality TV show:

The women’s clothing store Addiction Boutique, which we told you last month was coming to 12th and Passyunk, has opened at 1713 S. 12th St.

Addiction is the second location for owner Alicia DiMichele, who has had a store by the same name in Cherry Hill for four years. The boutique leans toward bold prints and bright colors, so if you like a type of Jersey Shore meets L.A. fab look, you would love this place.

The store’s motto: “Always dress like you are going to see your worst enemy.”

While researching a bit about Addiction Boutique, the women’s clothing store that’s coming into the former Bronze Bar at 1713 S. 12 St., we stumbled across this Daily News story about owner Alicia DiMichele-Garofalo.

Apparently, after DiMichele admitted to embezzling union money from a trucking business she ran with her husband, Edward “Tall Guy” Garofalo Jr., she was approached by VH1 to appear in a Philly spin-off of Mob Wives.
