Point Breeze called one of the ‘best bad neighborhoods’ for purchasing a home

Point Breeze has been seeing changes in recent years, with more development and some new businesses attempting to revive the neighborhood.

A recent real estate study has named Point Breeze as number 7 on a list of 35 “best bad neighborhoods” to buy homes. The study shows that house flipping in this area results in an average 138% return on investement.

What's Happening in:  East Passyunk Crossing 

Opportunity piles up on Snyder Ave. as Superior Plumbing Supply plans to close

The Superior Plumbing Supply shop at 1218 Snyder Ave. will be closing at the end of September, according to the shop owner, who dished all about it when we went in recently to purchase a sidewalk grate. The phone number is already disconnected.

If you’ve never seen the store, it occupies one of the largest commercial spaces on Snyder Avenue, with toilets, sinks, and miscellaneous plumbing materials lining the window display. Above the shop are three floors of apartments.
