Friday and Sunday

In tandem with the 35th Annual National Homebrewers Conference, which started Wednesday at the Marriott in Center City, Devil’s Den is hosting meet the brewer events on Friday night and on Sunday. Friday night at 7 p.m., “Sebastian Sauer, Freigeist brewer of Braustelle Brauerei in Germany will be in the house,” according to a news release. “Freigeist translates to ‘Free Thinking’ and Sauer is notorious for brewing outside the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Law).” Eight of the brewers drafts will be on hand.

On Sunday, the beer bar will have a special brunch with dishes “inspired by  Yards Brewing Company,” which is supplying firkin of a dry hopped IPA called Bourbon Barrel Aged Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale, Extra Special Ale and Brotherly Suds. “Guests will also have a chance to meet the brewers and crew from Yard’s.” Free, but for food and drink, of course. 11th and Ellsworth, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
