South Fellini to replace Eclectic Expressionism on East Passyunk Avenue

Do you remember the Queen of Jeans sign that was posted outside of the former King of Jeans location last year? How about the Toynbee tiles you might still spot around the city? South Fellini turns these things and more of your favorite Philly-isms into t-shirts, pins and more.

Instead of ordering these items through South Fellini’s online shop, you’ll soon be able to visit them at an East Passyunk Avenue storefront. The business will be taking over the former Pookah’s Hookah & BYOB, otherwise known as Eclectic Expressionism, location at 1507 E. Passyunk Ave.

New age shop at 1507 E. Passyunk is becoming Pooka’s Hookah & BYOB Lounge

We were scratching our heads a few weeks ago after we spotted the wooden letters BYOB in the window at the purple-fronted Eclectic Expressionism gift shop and gallery.

Turns out, shop owner Nicola Vittoria says she is converting the space, which started selling glass pipes and other paraphernalia in November, into a Pooka’s Hookah & BYOB lounge. An opening party with wine and snacks is tonight, Friday, July 27 starting at 6:30.

Last week, we told you that a tenant had already secured the neon green storefront that used to be Minnie’s Secret, the herbal shop and massage place at 1507 E. Passyunk Ave.

We caught up with the new shop owner, Nicola Vittoria, who plans to open a store called Eclectic Expressionism.

Tenant already secured for old Minnie’s Secret space

Paper has gone up over the windows already at the former Minnie’s Secret herbal shop at 1507 E. Passyunk Ave, where a few readers suggested that very thorough massages were occurring.

The details are a bit sketchy so far, but we’ve heard that the new place will be a shop that’s going to be run by an artist – something like an art gallery, but also selling crafts and other items.

The former Minnie’s Secret, now…?
