In October we broke the news about Gennaro’s Tomato Pie closing up their current location at 1429 Jackson St. and replacing Da Vinci Ristorante at 1533 S. 11th St. According to owner Mike Giammarino, the plans have changed and the current location will remain open as Gennaro’s, but this new restaurant, to be called Grace & Pat’s, will open in this larger location just off of E. Passyunk Ave. and will serve a different style of pizza.
The restaurant is paying homage to Giammarino’s grandparents, Grace and Pat, both in name and menu.
