A large sign created quite a buzz when it suddenly popped up Friday afternoon inside the vacant lot at Moyamensing Avenue and Moore Street. It’s the site of the previously proposed Moyamensing Estates, and the land had been back on the market since June of last year.
The sign, boasting “pre-construction pricing,” shows a 15-home development called Moyamensing Place and looks to be the most recent incarnation of hope for a long-vacant corner of Pennsport. Even today, only the newly placed sign, a derelict, graffiti-tagged delivery truck and some other random piles of trash are housed on the lot.
The pre-construction pricing for the 15 three-story town homes for the next 60 days is $419,000, said Matthew Milano, the listing agent with Coldwell Banker Preferred. They’ll be 2,400 sq. ft. with three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and a garage, built by Design Builders.
