While you’ve probably seen the black and white striped rebirth of the former Colombo’s space take form over the past few months, we now know what the menu has in store as well as some pictures inside the restaurant located at the gateway of E. Passyunk Ave.

Palladino’s sets opening date, now accepting reservations

Palladino’s, an 80-seat upscale Italian steakhouse at the gateway of E. Passyunk Ave, will officially open for dinner service on Dec. 18, the restaurant announced on Twitter.

We time we checked in with Palladino’s, the restaurant was shooting to open sometime in November at the former Colombo’s space at 1934 E. Passyunk Ave. Crews are on the scene installing the black and white paneling in preparation for opening night.

Palladino’s Steakhouse is expected to open next month

Palladino’s Steakhouse is set to open sometime in November at 1934 E. Passyunk Ave., according to Michael Klein at The Insider. A recent trip to Italy might provide a glimpse at what could be expected as far as wine selections go.

The Insider reports that chef Luke Palladino spent five years in Italy honing his craft and recently “met with the restaurant community [in Italy], including food purveyors and fishermen.”

Check out renderings of the new Palladino’s coming to 1934 E. Passyunk Ave.

Plans were unveiled last night for Palladino’s, the upscale steakhouse moving into the fire-damaged former home of Colombo’s  at 1934 E. Passyunk Ave.

The Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation, which bought the building in February, hosted a meet-and-greet for near-neighbors with chef/owner Luke Palladino. We weren’t able to get to the meeting, but we did get a hold of a couple of renderings.

Palladino plans 80 seats inside and another 40 outside, a full bar with liquor license, craft cocktail list and a wine list, and big a neon sign on the front. But this isn’t necessarily what the sign will look like, said PARC director Sam Sherman:

Steakhouse called Palladino’s to take over burned-out Colombo’s at 1934 E. Passyunk

A new restaurant called Palladino’s, being billed as an upscale steak and seafood house, will be taking over the old Colombo’s space at 1934 E. Passyunk Ave., which was damaged in a fire in August 2012.

Owner Luke Palladino, who already owns four other steakhouses in New Jersey, including two in Atlantic City, is shooting to open in November. The Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation, which we reported last month had purchased the building, signed the least last week and the deal was announced today.
