Philadelphia Street Department: Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams announced today that work will begin Tuesday, May 30th on the East Passyunk Avenue and 12th & Morris Streets Intersection Improvement Project. Construction will be performed in multiple phases and all modes of traffic will be continuously maintained, however, motorists are advised to allow for additional traveling time through the area.
The project is being sponsored by the City’s Commerce Department and involves improvements at the intersection of East Passyunk Avenue and 12th & Morris Streets. The improvements include, but are not limited to the replacement of sidewalk, installation of concrete bump outs and traffic islands, ADA curb ramps, replacement of streetlight arms, and traffic signal improvements. Additionally, there will be street improvement at the intersection including resurfacing as well as resetting manholes and utility boxes.
