Plenty Cafe to open Queen Village location next week

Back in 2014 we first told you about the plans for Plenty Cafe to open a new Queen Village location. To open this cafe, they would need to fully renovate the former Fleishman Fabrics building, in the process creating the eight-unit Fabric Loft apartments upstairs.

FREE BOOZE ALERT! Plenty launching brunch, throwing party

It’s been a busy couple of months for Plenty. They added coffee service, remodeled, started weekday breakfast, began build-out on a yet to be disclosed Rittenhouse location and now they’re starting their brunch service this weekend.

They’re also inviting the neighborhood to a grand re-opening party tomorrow night from 5 to 9 p.m. “Come celebrate with us with excellent food, beer and wine,” says the invitation. Hmm, tempting.

We’re waiting on a call back for details about what will be on the brunch menu, which they’ll serve Saturdays and Sundays starting at 8 a.m., till probably 3 p.m. Or you could just stop by tomorrow night for a little free booze and ask them yourselves.

UPDATE: Owner Anthony Mascieri just got back to us to say that the brunch menu is still being finalized, but they’re planning on adding a version of french toast, a ricotta parfait, some house-baked pastries and other items on top of their regular breakfast. They’ll also be selling carafes of OJ, Bloody Mary mix and one other mixer so you can BYO your own booze for a brunch worth lingering over.

Mascieri also gave a shout out to Sara Selepouchin, owner of Girls Can Tell gift shop at 12th and Peirce, who is repainting all the menu boards.
