The Ralph Brooks basketball court at 20th and Tasker streets got a big boost over the weekend with a fundraiser at Union Transfer that raised $170,000 to turn crumbling slice of asphalt into an active oasis.
CBS3 reports that the Make the World Better Foundation, started by Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin, took up the cause and partnered with R5 Productions to help the kickstart the plan by youth organization Urban Roots. (For more on the concert, go here.)
