Demolition notices posted for planned mixed-use development near Broad and Washington

Back in August we told you about some plans for a 5-story, mixed-use development in the works for 1111 S. Broad St. by developer Rory Scerri-Marion and his company, Ampere Capital Group.

Now Naked Philly notes that they’ve spotted notices for the demolition of the current structure, which includes the former car mechanic and accessory shop in the ground floor space.

Another mixed-use development is in the works near Broad and Washington

There are already developments in the works for the northeast and northwest corners of Broad and Washington, with the Blatstein development and another mixed-use development with apartments and retail. Now there’s yet another mixed-use development that could be coming to a location near Broad and Washington.

At 1111 S. Broad St., the location of a car mechanic and accessory shop, there are plans to demolish the current structure to make way for a 5-story mixed-use building with 42 residential units and a ground-floor retail space.
