Lincoln Square is Getting a Target at Broad and Washington

Back in December it was a maybe, but now it’s official:  A 36,000-square-foot Target Store at Broad Street and Washington Avenue will anchor the Lincoln Square residential and retail project.

Construction at the site began months ago. An October 2018 opening date is projected.

Target could be a retail tenant at Lincoln Square

Just a month ago, the Lincoln Square development in the works at Broad and Washington received approval from the Civic Design Review. Things are continuing to move forward with the project, now with excavation beginning on the site and some more news about a potential tenant for the mixed-use building.

Target is hoping to occupy one of the commercial spaces available at Lincoln Square.

What's Happening in:  Pennsport :  Whitman 

Paving on Swanson Street a sign of things to come?

Have you seen that a large patch of Swanson Street between Target and ShopRite has been repaved? You may remember that we recently brought you the news that Adventurer’s Mini Golf was coming in May to 38 Jackson St. in Whitman and with it potential improvements to the street experience on Swanson Street.

According to Councilman Mark Squilla, those plans are in the works and this paving is part of a bigger plan.

“I have been meeting with the Streets Department and Conrail on street improvements and a master plan for Swanson [Street],” Councilman Squilla wrote in an email. He also mentioned that potholes will continued to be filled along Swanson Street and that they look to hopefully re-stripe the stretch south of Snyder Avenue.
