Street Repaving Redux

Last week we reported on the imminent repaving of the South Philly streets that were milled (stripped of the top layer of asphalt) about a month ago.  Sadly, rain put a halt to some of the planned work.  This week, the Streets Department hopes to complete the following paving projects:

11th and Reed trolley tracks have finally been removed

12th Street repaving covers inactive Route 23 trolley tracks

Over the summer we told you about a portion of the inactive Route 23 trolley tracks being removed at 11th and Reed. Now even more of the unnecessary trolley tracks have been covered thanks to the repaving of 12th Street from South Street to Snyder Avenue.
