SoPhilly Spotlight: Overhead lighting edition

For this week’s SoPhilly Spotlight, we head to a 2-bedroom at 613 Gerritt St., not only for the bargain price of $159,000, but also for the colorful realtor-speak in the listing.

Antenna-equipped too
Among the features, according to the listing: “Overhead lighting fixtures throughout home.” Well, they thought of everything, didn’t they? But there’s also hardwood throughout, a whirlpool tub and a decent-sized back yard, for South Philly, anyway. You can check it out for yourself at the open house Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

2 bedroom home on a very nice and quiet passyunk square block. Well-laid out with hardwood floors. Patio. This home has great southern light. Vestibule entrance with transom. Bright and spacious living and dining area with hardwood floors and a big ceiling fan opens to a clean kitchen with nice layout. Kitchen door leads to a well-sized rear patio. A built-in ac unit cools entire 1st floor in less than 5 minutes.

Well, isn’t that nice. Petty nitpicking aside, this is actually pretty good for a 988-square foot, mostly renovated home so close to the action. The kitchen is kind of funky with all that black and white, but with new countertops, it could work. What do you think?
Good size, but is that the only closet?
