15,000 readers, 100,000 page views. What a year

We here at Passyunk Post world headquarters wanted to mark the new year by thanking everyone for the amazing response we’ve gotten from all of you. Those stats in the headline, nearly 15,000 readers and more than 100,000 page views, exceeded even our wildest expectations when we started nosing around South Philly only five short months ago. We were even named in November as one of “The Ten: On the Rise in Philly Food” by the Food Network’s City Eats website.

But that’s only the beginning! Look for some cool changes in the coming weeks, including a redesign of the site complete with a comprehensive events calendar for all things South Philly. And the best part is, you’ll be able to add your own events – festivals, happy hour deals, civic meetings, tasting menus, concerts, parties, special events, art openings, beer dinners, anything and everything that will make this website South Philly’s go-to place for news, information, gossip and other ways of saying local hubbub.

We’ll also continue to expand our coverage about local businesses, development and city livin’ to the rest of South Philly (By the way, if you or someone you know lives in G-ho or Pennsport and likes to snoop around, we’re still accepting contributors). And we’re going to start reaching out to potential advertisers who want to target the thousands of affluent, educated readers who love wandering around this great neighborhood.

Finally, if you like us, tell your neighbors. Tell your friends. Find us on Facebook and Twitter. Email us at punk@passyunkpost.com with tips, questions, complaints, suggestions – anything. Getting the word out about us will help us to keep you in the loop for years to come. Thanks again for a great ride.
