SoPhilly Spotlight: Gated Garage edition

For this week’s SoPhilly Spotlight, we head to 1529 S. Beulah St., a glorified alley tucked between 7th and 8th streets, Tasker and Dickinson.

The street is so small you can’t get a decent picture of the house

Carport? Courtyard?
Now, this is a nice house, certainly bigger and newer than Passyunk Post world headquarters. But the gated garage is a little puzzling. Imagine unlocking that gate any time you want to park. The listing gives it double duty, calling it a “Contemporary wrought iron gate leads into the courtyard/CARPORT.”
At any rate, it is reasonably priced at $309,000 for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with parking and a deck off the back roof. It’s 1,474 square feet and for sale by Alpha Realty.
Living room seems kind of cramped if this picture was taken from the front door
Nice kitchen, tiny sink
Master bath
Master bedroom with Juliet balcony
The floor of another bedroom
The deck. Lot of pictures of floors on this listing
Itty bitty street
So, would you use that as a courtyard or for parking?
