The East Passyunk BID’s annual Easter Egg Hunt happens this Saturday at a new location, the South Philadelphia Older Adult Center at Passyunk & Dickinson Street.

The old location, the formerly grassy area at Le Virtu, is a bit of a mess right now.

The event is free, and hunt times are staggered by age group, so no need to worry that the 8-year-old will strong-arm your toddler: 11 a.m., ages 4 & under; noon, ages 5 to 7;  1 p.m.. ages 8 to 10.

According to the news release:

Kids will decorate egg-collecting bags and then hunt for eggs filled with candy and Zitner’s Fine Confections. Special golden ticket eggs will feature certificates to Belle Cakery, Favors and Flavors, and Ms Goody Cupcake as well as large prize-size Zitner’s eggs.

Even if the weather is crappy, bring the tots over: “If the weather is really bad we will just hand out bags of candy at 11am, so come on down,” the BID said.

Some restaurants also will have kid-friendly brunch specials, which you can find listed at the Facebook event.
