SoPhilly Spotlight: The Pink Kitchen edition

Now THIS is a great house! Spring is here and the real estate market is bursting with wonderful properties for sale.

For this week’s SoPhilly Spotlight, we head to 1424 S. 10th St., just around the corner from the Acme, for a 3-story, 4-bedroom beauty is only $350,000. With over 1,600 square feet, it features beautiful hardwood floors and lots natural sunlight. It’s only been listed by PruFoxRoach for 4 days.

There will an open house this Sunday, March 24 from noon to 1 p.m. We’re sure this house will sell quickly, in part because of the tasteful and sparse decor of the current residents. For starters, you can’t go wrong with a brightly painted front door:

Bright front living room and separate dining room. French doors lead to retro 50’s kitchen with lots of light and space. Back door leads out to a nice rear patio yard. Upstairs you’ll find two large bedrooms and a full bath with claw foot tub. The 3rd floor offers two more very large bedrooms.

You don’t see wide-plank hardwood floors like this too often. They’re gorgeous!

We hope the new owners keep this chandelier.

The kitchen is very cute, if not very functional. French doors can make up for a lot!

The upstairs rooms have the same great flooring.

Trend forecasters predict that the national passion for clawfoot tubs is not going anywhere anytime soon. This one has the distinction of being painted a lovely greenish gray underneath.

Again, not very functional. But that mirror!
