Damn, that was quick. Lil Snuff’s on 11th closed

It was only in November that we told you about a new sandwich shop at 1703 S. 11th St. called Lil Snuff’s, which had some well-crafted old-school delights on its menu.

The one sandwich we had – the Forget About It chicken cutlet – was tasty, but we never went back. Maybe that’s why it closed.

Adios, Snuff
Adios, Snuff

Meal Ticket spotted a for-rent sign in the window last week after noticing that the hours kept getting scaled back. The blog also noted that it was the third business to open and close in that spot in quick succession.

Here’s to better luck with the fourth, which at the rate things are going, will pop up soon.

But we can’t say we’re all that surprised, even though we thought it was pretty good. But the bar is pretty high around here. Did anyone ever eat there?

I think it may be the 4th one to do down. There was a sit-down restuarant before the sucession of sandwich/pizza/sandwich joints. The first sandwich place killed the location. by gutting it. Before, it still had the old school soda fountain set up, a time warp.
