The Valley Green Bank branch that has been under construction at Broad and Tasker since late last year is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its opening today.
The bank says student musicians from Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and from Mastery Thomas Elementary Charter School will perform at the ceremony, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Mayor Nutter and other local politicians also were scheduled to attend.
From the press release:
The event will highlight Valley Green Bank’s commitment to both serving the local neighborhood in an impactful way and adding to the vibrancy of the growing business community in South Philadelphia and the region. Valley Green Bank has already lent over $20 Million in the community before opening the branch.
Valley Green Bank, at 1536 S. Broad St., also has branches in Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill, plus commercial loan offices in Center City and Radnor. Check out a Philadelphia Business Journal story about the bank here.
Much better than it looked before, no?
