The former East Side Moyamensing Saloon at Moyamensing and Sigel is undergoing renovations and will give way to a restaurant/bar called Moonshine Bar.
Pennsporter talked to some workers at the site and came away with this:
The bar will have a new name – “Moonshine Bar”. It will feature a lunch and dinner menu as well. The interior is completely gutted right now but it will keep the tin ceiling and feature exposed brick.
Apparently, if all goes well, we’re looking at an early September opening. Cross your fingers.
No word on whether moonshine will be served.
What’s in a name, really?
So, to sum up, we’re short on details, including who the new owner is or what kind of place this is going to be. Tin ceilings and “moonshine” in the title could be promising, though. Right?
