The stock includes a wide selection of dresses (all discounted samples, all new), jewelry and a smattering of handbags and other accessories. Verdi also offers wedding planning services out of this location as well as custom invitations. She even does the calligraphy herself.
For most of the accessories and jewelry, Verdi says she has relied on local designers. You can check it all out at her open house on Oct. 6. Or, you can just go by today. She’s open Tuesday through Saturday, starting out opening at 11 a.m. Most days she says she’ll be open till 6, but until 7 on Thursdays and Fridays. Bridal gown and invitation consulting are done by appointment.
Verdi is also starting to work with other wedding-minded Passyunk businesses including florist Chartreuse, the new Beautiful Brides make-up boutique, Pollyodd limoncello shop, various restaurants and eventually, she hopes, Vanilya Bakery once it finally opens. Verdi thinks if they join forces, they can bring wedding business back to the avenue.
Sounds like a good plan.
How about you stop by and welcome Carolyn to the neighborhood?
