Guerilla Ultima’s brunch mash-up will instead be at 2nd Street Brewhouse

It was only last week that we reported that the Guerilla Ultima food truck would pair up with the Buttercream cupcake shop at 2015 E. Moyamensing Ave. for a collaboration.

Scratch that.

But the good news is that the GU collab will now happen at the 2nd Street Brew House at 1700 S. 2nd St.

Turns out that Buttercream and GU were concerned about seating and integrating a new, potentially busy shift into what was already a busy time at the cupcake shop. So GU found a willing partner around the corner in the Brew House, which already has a full menu. And plenty of seating. Buttercream agreed that it was best.

The new arrangement will start the first week of October, and go every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Brew House said. Gone, unfortunately, is the notion of BYO vodka that had been touted as an option during the heady, fleeting moments of the Buttercream era.

Still, beer and brunch is good too, and there’s plenty of that at the Brew House.

Incidentally, that’s not a place that gets talked about a lot. Any fans out there? Tell everyone what you think of the 2nd Street Brew House in the comments.

2nd Street Brew House is a lot of fun with good people. Check out quizzo on Wednesday night. The team names alone make the experience worth it.

Oh yeah, the beer is quality as well.

2nd St. Brewhouse is great. Great selection and vibe. Love when they have the three TVs running, each one showing a different cult/horror/B movie.
