SoPhilly Spotlight: Snyder Ave. edition

This week’s SoPhilly Spotlight kills two birds with one stone. It’s a reader submission, for one, and it also shows the fact that living on Snyder Avenue can be a lot nicer than most people think.

The home at 1206 Snyder Ave. is being sold by faithful reader and commenter Philly Ray. A 3-bed, 1.5 bath charmer, this place comes in at about 1,300 square feet for $274,999. There’s been a lot of action on Snyder Avenue lately, too.

From the listing by Spectrum Realty:

This home has been recently renovated with top of the line upgrades while preserving its original charm. Dual system central air and radiant heat. High Ceilings. Restored hardwood floors throughout.

They are nice floors, but radiant heat? We think the agent means radiators…

We bought our house on the 1300 block last year and love the neighborhood. I can’t say enough good things about our neighbors. The location is super convenient and while there is a lot of foot traffic people typically are just getting from point A to point B. On top of that parking is usually pretty easy for us.

Snyder Avenue is one of the most underrated parts of the Lower Passyunk Square area. Things are really heating up and it is very exciting to see and feel the new energy spilling south of Snyder as well! Look at this wonderful home. Really classy. Really charming.

I think this is technically in lower southwest passyunk square crossing

Haha, but it’s the south side of the street, so technically it’s upper northwest Lower Moyamensing East Passyunk Crossing

Well… to make it even more complicated, technically EPX and LoMo share custody of both sides of Snyder.

Then tell the EPX Business Improvement District to “share” the street cleaning to the south side of Snyder. Right now, they only clean/sweep the north side. It’s not very complicated to cross the street, is it?
