A vegan restaurant is coming to East Passyunk, but where?

Someone is looking to hire kitchen staff for an unnamed new vegan cafe in East Passyunk, according to an ad posted Sunday on Craigslist.

The ad goes on to say they pay “a living wage that includes benefits.” Well, that’s good.

Of course, where this place will be is anyone’s guess. It doesn’t say it will be on East Passyunk Avenue, just in “East Passyunk.” And if you use, say, a realtor’s definition of that, the place could be on 5th Street.

We tried contacting the owner through the job listing, and have reached out to our various spies around the hood, so we’ll keep you posted.

This is the best news I have heard all day! I have been waiting for a vegan restaurant to open in the neighborhood – tired of waiting for Plenty and Fuel to offer a vegan sandwich.

The city in general could use a Vegan Brunch/Breakfast/Lunch type of spot. Similar to Champs in Brooklyn. Diner Food. Most places don’t have a variety of vegan breakfast food.
