Experts coming Wednesday to Paradiso to ponder, “Is it the end of the suburbs?”

Paradiso will host an interesting discussion on Wednesday night about the ongoing demographic shift among professionals who are trying to steer clear of the suburbs and make a life in the city.

Inquirer architecture critic Inga Saffron will join Fortune magazine managing editor Leigh Gallagher to discuss Gallagher’s new book, called “The End of the Suburbs: Where the American Dream is moving.” Wonder what her belief on the subject will be.

Registration costs $30 but includes cocktails and appetizers as well as a chance to hobnob with urban planner types and some other really smart people. A walking tour of the avenue will follow the presentation. 5 to 7 p.m. 1627 E. Passyunk Ave. Register here. Walk-up registration at the event costs $40.
