A liquor license has been posted on the Acme at 19th and Oregon, which includes a notice that alcohol could be served outside.

Where exactly? A spokeswoman at Acme’s corporate office in Malvern said it was still too early to discuss the store’s plans.

And a quick look at the PLCB’s terrible website turned up – nothing. The info online only lists names of bigwigs at Acme Markets, including Jim Perkins, who became president of all Acme markets after the chain was sold in March to a group of hedge funds.

That would suggest that Acme is going with the pub concept that Wegman’s has found success with in King of Prussia, Collegeville and other locations. That’s just a guess, though.

Meanwhile, no liquor license has been applied for at the Acme at 10th and Reed.
