A liquor license has been posted on the Acme at 19th and Oregon, which includes a notice that alcohol could be served outside.
Where exactly? A spokeswoman at Acme’s corporate office in Malvern said it was still too early to discuss the store’s plans.
And a quick look at the PLCB’s terrible website turned up – nothing. The info online only lists names of bigwigs at Acme Markets, including Jim Perkins, who became president of all Acme markets after the chain was sold in March to a group of hedge funds.
The app says it’s a restaurant license that would include outside seating that will be 34 feet by 8 feet. That would suggest that Acme is going with the pub concept that Wegman’s has found success with in King of Prussia, Collegeville and other locations. That’s just a guess, though.
Meanwhile, no liquor license has been applied for at the Acme at 10th and Reed.
